Carrie Oloriz B.Sc. P.Biol.

Since 1993, Carrie Oloriz has worked as a terrestrial ecologist and environmental assessment practitioner.  For the last twelve years her work has focused on Aboriginal issues related to large scale development including capacity development and the inclusion of traditional knowledge in environmental planning, assessment and monitoring. Carrie has contributed to the planning and implementation of numerous Aboriginal consultation programs. Her background includes integrated resource planning, traditional land use assessments, CEAA, terrestrial biophysical studies and environmental communications in cross cultural environments.  Carrie has been involved in various aspects of environmental planning for several natural resource sectors including oil sands, conventional oil and gas, electrical energy (transmission and generation), agriculture and Parks/Protected Areas management.  Ms. Oloriz has conducted field programs and research in collecting Traditional Ecological Knowledge and baseline vegetation and wildlife data.
