Erin Slater M.Sc.
Erin has worked on a range of projects and programs in the natural sciences since 1996. Besides her experience as a biologist, Erin has participated in projects requiring stakeholder consultation and community liaison roles, particularly in Aboriginal communities. Her assignments nationally and internationally have involved working in cross-cultural environments and under varied regulatory frameworks. Erin’s background includes public consultation and relations activities, integrative resource management initiatives, habitat management for target species and natural communities, environmental monitoring and public education. Erin has conducted extensive fieldwork and research related to the assessment of invertebrate diversity in disturbed and undisturbed landscapes. Her projects have taken place in southern Africa, eastern, central and western Canada and in the Sahtu Settlement Area and the Deh Cho Region of Northwest Territories.
