Resettlement and Livelihood Restoration

Internationally, a key component of our work is the development and completion of Resettlement Action Plans (RAP) and Livelihood Restoration Plans.  Appropriate community relations strategies are the key to obtaining a social license to operate in the Natural Resource and Infrastructure sectors. Depending on the project objectives and the local context, HEG develops social communication, livelihood restoration, local employment, local development, influx management, community-based monitoring and resettlement plans and programs. Based on a Corporate Social Responsibility approach and using international guidelines and principles, we help achieve the proponents goals while helping the local communities understand the project and obtain concrete and culturally appropriate benefits.
